Cybersecurity in 2026

Our cybersecurity resolutions

Many people made resolutions at the start of the new year. As we have settled back into the grove again, now is a good time to promise yourself that you’ll improve your cyber-health as well! Here are some top cybersecurity resolutions to carry out throughout this year and beyond.

  • I will hover my mouse over links before I click on them.

    • This one never goes out of date. Links don’t always go where they say they will, and you want to start the year off right.
  • I will not be fooled by high-pressure tactics from threat actors.

    • Whether they’re phishing for your info or using a rage-inducing fake article as clickbait—don't fall for it! Never let yourself be pressured into acting quickly and carelessly online.
  • I will always use a VPN, especially when traveling.

    • Privacy is more important than ever, and a VPN encrypts your traffic while you’re online.
  •  I will research devices and apps before I make a purchase.

    • With so many options available, being a savvy consumer is key. I will research and read reviews so that you don't fall for a shady app or an insecure device.
