How do I create a mySD account?
If you are not sure if you have a mySD account, follow the “What if I am not sure I already have a mySD account?” steps to check. If you don't already have a mySD account, follow the steps below to create one:
- Click on the log in using mySD logo.
- Enter the email you would like to use for a mySD account and click Continue.
- Click on Sign up now to create a new mySD account.
- Click Send verification code. The verification code is only valid for 20 minutes, after which a new verification code will need to be sent.
- Do not leave the verification page or the code will not work. If checking your email from a browser, open a new browser or tab and navigate to the inbox of the email address you provided and locate the verification code that was sent from donotreply@state.sd.us.
- Enter the verification code on the mySD verification code screen and click Verify Code.
- Once the code had been verified, click Continue.
- If you are prompted that the email id already exists, you will need to enter the password for your account or reset your password.
- Upon successful email verification, you will then be prompted to enter profile information.
- Create a new password and re-enter it to confirm.
- Password must be between 8-64 characters and include three of the following:
- Lower case letter
- Upper case letter
- Number
- Symbol
- Enter your first and last name in the corresponding fields.
- You will then be prompted to enter your address information. Complete the fields and click Continue .
- You will be prompted to enter your Phone Number for verification, then click Send Code to verify through text or Call Me to verify through a phone call.
- Enter the verification code that was sent to you through text or call and click Verify Code.
