What do I do if I am unable to log in with my mySD account?

If you are unable to log in with your mySD account, you may have forgotten your password or you may not have an account. If you are not sure you have a mySD account, follow the “What if I am not sure I already have a mySD account?” steps to check.

 

If you have forgotten your password, follow the below steps to reset your password:

  1. Click on the log in using mySD logo.
  2. Enter the email you are trying to sign into and click Continue.
  3. Click on Forgot my password above the Sign in button.
  4. Click Send verification code. The verification code is only valid for 20 minutes, after which a new verification code will need to be sent.
  5. Do not leave the verification page or the code will not work. If checking your email from a browser, open a new browser or tab and navigate to the inbox of the email address you provided and locate the verification code that was sent from donotreply@state.sd.us.
  6. Enter the verification code on the mySD verification code screen and click Verify Code.
  7. Once the code had been verified, click Continue.
  8. You will be prompted for a new password.
  9. Enter your new password in the New password field and enter it again in the Confirm new password to ensure you have typed it correctly.
  10. Click Continue.
  11. You should now be logged in with your mySD your account (if you are prompted to log in again, simply log in with your updated password).
