Linking Your MySDRS Account to mySD (South Dakota Citizen Portal)

MySDRS has been integrated with the mySD Citizen Portal. You must have a verified mySD account in order to link and access your MySDRS account.

On the SDRS homepage (sd.gov/sdrs), click on the "Log in using mySD" icon in the navigation bar.


You will be redirected to the mySD Login page. 

If you already have a mySD account: Enter your existing mySD account information to log in.

If you need to create a mySD account: Follow the instructions provided on your screen to create your mySD account.

Important considerations when creating your mySD account:

NOTE: mySD is maintained by the Bureau of Information and Telecommunications (BIT) and not SDRS. How to link your MySDRS account to mySD

Once you have logged in to your mySD account, you should be redirected back to the SDRS homepage (sd.gov/sdrs). As you will note, your name appears in the top right corner (as highlighted below) to show you are logged in to mySD. This is where you can access your mySD profile information and log out.

From here, click on "Link MySDRS Account."

 

To link your MySDRS account, you must have a verified mySD account.

If you have a verified mySD account: It will be indicated on the "Link Your SDRS Account" page, and several fields will be pre-populated for you. If you have a verified mySD account, your screen will look like the one shown below. Enter your Social Security Number and click "Submit."

If you do not have a verified mySD account: You will need to go through the identity verification process before you can link your MySDRS account. Click the word "here" as highlighted in the image below to proceed with verifying your mySD account. You will be redirected to the Digital Identity Verification (mySD Verified) webpage. The identity verification process is maintained by the Bureau of Information and Telecommunications (BIT) and not SDRS. Once your mySD account has been successfully verified, it will be indicated on the "Link Your SDRS Account" page. Enter your Social Security Number and click "Submit."

 

After clicking "Submit," you will get a message "Your account link has been successful. Please wait while we redirect you..." before you are automatically redirected back to the SDRS homepage. You should now see "MySDRS" in the navigation bar as shown below.

Click on the "MySDRS" menu dropdown to access your SDRS account information.

Click on any of the menu items to view your account information.

If you wish to create benefit estimates, you can click on the "Calculators" dropdown and select "Benefit Calculator." Your current account information will be automatically entered in the applicable fields.
