South Dakota Driver Licensing locations do not administer driving skills tests for commercial driver licenses or endorsements.

You can take your CDL driving test at third party test sites around the state. CDL tests must be scheduled two business days in advance, and you must drive on a commercial learner’s permit for 14 days prior to testing. The cost of a driving skills test is $150 plus tax.
