Why: The most common reason is because your last certificate was issued using a different email address.
How to fix: A new feature was added on January 31, 2024 that will allow educators to link their new email address to their educator profile using the following instructions: https://doe.sd.gov/certification/documents/EducatorProfile-newMySD.pdf
If the linkage doesn't work: Select "Apply" in the top right corner and select the "Contact the Office of Educator Certification" with the apple and books image. Then select the "Contact Us" to submit the following information:
The new Educator Portal is part of the SD Citizen Portal (mySD.gov) which uses the State of South Dakota's single sign-on that allows a user to access services across state government using a single username and password.
