The purpose of the Steering Committee is to provide oversight of all Nexus SD-related applications, programs, projects, and systems. In addition, the Steering Committee will provide a forum for discussions of Nexus SD-related investments and serve as an escalation path where needed. The following list contains the scope of the Committee: 

• Provide strategic direction and guidance for implementing and utilizing the Nexus SD closed-loop referral system 
• Utilize the Nexus SD system's business intelligence and data analytics capabilities to assist decision-making and promote transparency 
• Encourage increased access to community services and community-based organizations using Nexus SD 
• Empower individuals to advocate for themselves
• Ensure alignment between Nexus SD initiatives and other state-wide priorities
