Before you can complete your SDRS profile, you must log in to your mySD Citizen account and link your MySDRS account. Instructions for Completing Your SDRS Profile
Once linked and logged in to MySDRS, click on the MySDRS dropdown in the navigation bar, then click “Profile & Settings.”
Your "Profile & Settings" page will look similar to the following. On this page, you can review and update your SDRS profile, including your personal information, update your beneficiary designations, and designate a custodian for a minor child (if applicable).
How to update your personal information: On the "Profile & Settings: page, locate the section titled “Self Service Forms.” Click “Update your personal information,” complete all required and/or applicable fields, and submit. You will receive a notification your information has been submitted.
How to add a spouse (if applicable) and beneficiaries: On the “Profile & Settings” page, you can add a spouse, if you have one, and add your beneficiaries. Click "Add" in the section you wish to update and enter all of the required information in the fields provided. Click "Save" to update the information.
IF YOU HAVE MINOR CHILDREN, you are strongly encouraged to designate a custodian for each minor child. How to designate a custodian for a minor child: On the “Profile & Settings” page, locate the section titled "Self Service Forms." Click “Designate custodian for minor child.” Enter all required information and follow the form prompts to complete the form.
It is important that you promptly complete your profile to ensure your SDRS record is complete as this information is used to notify you (and your beneficiaries) about available benefits. If you need assistance with completing your SDRS profile, please contact the SDRS office at 605-773-3731.
