The federal government shutdown has ended. WIC has been fully funded through September 2026 and continues to operate without interruptions. 

South Dakota WIC will keep helping families during the federal government shutdown. WIC benefits are still available. Participants should:

• Go to WIC appointments.

• Keep using eWIC Cards to shop for WIC foods.

• Call the local WIC office with any questions.

• 10/30/2025: Food Benefits will be provided in November: As we monitor the federal government shutdown, WIC will continue to provide all services including food benefits in November.

• 11/12/2025: Government Shutdown has Ended: The federal government shutdown has ended. WIC has been fully funded through September 2026.
