Oatmeal is a great option to get more whole grains into your day. Here are a few tips:
- Try cooking them in milk or broth instead of water for some added nutrients.
- Make it ahead! Try overnight oats by soaking the oatmeal overnight in milk and top with your favorite fruit in the morning! Enjoy hot or cold.
- Use oatmeal as a binder for meatloaf or meatballs.
- Add oatmeal to a smoothie!
What about all that cold cereal you already bought and haven’t eaten?! There are so many ways to enjoy cereal that doesn’t involve putting them in a bowl with milk. Check out these options:
- Mix together a savory snack mix with three varieties of cereal and add some nuts! Here’s a recipe.
